The Ocean Palace is within the first hour of Chrono Trigger??? AND it's part of the prologue??? You should play it BEFORE making a video like this, you were painfully wrong.
Honestly the odds of the lone survivor just shooting father on sight are pretty high… In game the character wouldn't know better…
I think an honorable mention should probably be Detroit Become Human considering you can chunk out entire POV characters out of the game.

Chrono Trigger actually had an even faster ending. At the very beginning of the game, you can enter the right teleport to challenge Lavos immediately. Though you’ll die in one hit unless you’re leveled up on new game plus.
Wasteland 3 can ALSO be beaten early by going straight to the patriarch and killing him.
who is the thumbnail?
The chrono trigger one is normally and easily achievable with new game+, without any cheats or hacks. (You're intended to see it even, if you bother with chrono tirggers MANY endings, not just that one)
In fact reaching it using hacks is likely out of the norm.
I got a story skip^(more like an arc skip) in a much recent game : Detroit become human.
In the moment when you play Kara and Todd decide to beat up his innocent girl upstairs, he tolds specifically to NOT MOVE. What did I do in my first playthrough, well I did not move since im a obedient android.
My reward was a cutscene where you can see Todd putting to bed the dead body of his daughter and then a cut just after he threaten Kara
(then in the end review, its says that Alice (the daughter) and Kara has died.
Even Chloe (the android in main menu) scold me for doing that
