$162 vs $19 Fried Chicken: Pro Chef & Home Cook Swap Ingredients | Epicurious
The original Ingredient Swap duo returns as professional chef instructor Frank Proto and home cook extraordinaire Lorenzo trade fried chicken recipes and hit the kitchen. We set Lorenzo up with $162 worth of ingredients and Frank’s recipe while sending just under 20 bucks worth of goods back to our esteemed expert. As is customary, food scientist Rose dialed in to assist Lorenzo along the way. How did his skills stack up against Frank’s expert level recipe? What tricks can Frank break out to improvise his way up to gourmet?

When he mentioned that pickle cutting the fat well, that kind of has me concerned about that food
I couldn't focus on the dish or lorenzo's struggles, because I was drowning in frank's saturated blue eyes !!!!!
whataguy! I just love the he can make anything sound simple, even because I am a vegetarian!!! 🤣
I’m watching this series and I hate every single video where frank is in it. He’s obviously doing things in purpose for the opponent to have a hard time. Not cool, frank, not cool.

I like Lorenzo’s voice
I love watching the home cooks tackle the expensive recipes for entertainment, while I always learn so much from the pros cooking with the simpler ingredients. Especially Frank, Saul and Lish, there are such good tips, tricks and ideas in there!
Hi I am from Bosnia 🇧🇦 and this crispy bits 7:26 we eat with little salt. They are delicious 😍😋
I love Lorenzo
I think the way the professional chefs think on here is, how many items can I make from scratch?
While the home cook thinks, how many items can I get premade while still being fancy?
When I first started watching these Lorenzo really annoyed me because he seemed so over the top. He didn't seem genuine as his enthusiasm felt exagerated. Now that I have been watching them for a while I see that I was wrong and that his enthusiasm is genuine… He really is just a jovial person who tries to have fun and seems to wear his heart on his sleeve. I can say he has become my favourite presenter and I am always happy when he is a part of the episode. Cheers Lorenzo, your good nature has converted a cynic.
