Boring movie
Rylie was studying the effects of a type of fungus on wheat the real name which is ergot. It has effects that if ingested over time can cause paralysis, psychosis, hallucinations….you get the picture. The wheat is toxic and Karen is really into baking. The bread in the oven is a repeated visual. So everyone is gone fair bonkers in this patchwork tale in which there are woven some interesting elements.
I feel like this movie dragged along and was quite predictable.
The movie had bizarre moments and a slight eerie undertone but to me, it was a nothing burger. 3/10
I really enjoyed this movie, but that being said i have to agree about thr third act. It did seem like it just kept going and it was a little confusing. But if this director can hone tjeir style so to speak i would love to see what comes next.
Why didn't they plug their phones in at the farm house? Just saying?
I give this clunker only a half a lemon slice dipped in sugar.
Boring and dumb at the same time.
Perhaps it's meant to be a bigger comment on society? (big shrug)
I WANTED THE MOVIE TOO HAVE THE SAME ENERGY AS THE COVER 🙁
I hated the characters and the sound soooo much lol it made me hate the whole movie. Definitely felt like an A24 wannabe
