  1. I got a Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 about a year ago, and wow what a difference HDR makes! The only thing that bugs me about it is poor resolution support in 240Hz mode, where even standard 3440×1440 and 2560×1440 aren't supported, and when you do run lower resolutions it always seems to just stretch them across the screen. Resolution support is much better in 120Hz mode, but that's a really annoying compromise to make on such a high end monitor, especially since narrower resolutions are where you'll usually see frame rates closer to 240 fps. Still though, I'm pretty happy with it, as I am usually able to run games perfectly well at native resolution, and everything else about it is pretty fantastic.

  2. People looking for great HDR display for PS5 should probably avoid monitors altogether. PS5 doesn't send proper HDR signal that monitors can handle well. Monitors unfortunately lack options for tweaking HDR and image might not be good. I can confidently say LG 27GR90QE won't give good performance with PS5 because LG monitors have issue with dark level details on PS5. Work great for PC though.

  3. I don't know whether to get ASUS ROG Switft 27" 240Hz or just go all out on OLED, either the LG shown in this video or wait for the OLED ASUS ROG that is supposed to be out soon. I mainly use my monitor for long gaming sessions but also play online poker which means I have similar elements on screen for many hours at a time, which makes me concerned about going OLED option because of burn in. I plan to pair it with a 4090 after upgrading the CPU side of my PC recently so it's a big long term investment which is why I am thinking I can go £1K+ on a monitor.
