Its been a very interesting few days with the content I have seen across platforms! #theromantics on Netflix really was such an engaging watch, #lost on ZEE5 did not meet my expectations and some movies from Kerala really packed the punch for me, especially #malikappuram #romancham and #saudivellakka . But it's a milestone movie u should watch even the musics r so……so…no words
I was really waiting for a day when Unni Mukundan Movies would do the numbers. As a performer I always thought he never had the opportunity to take on scripts, screenplay and direction of big names and get to the level.. that of a Prithviraj or a Tovino ftm.
But right when that happened here comes a controversy that put the man in bad light and I now am beginning to doubt his sincerity to the "business" of filmmaking! May not watch his movies for sometime now.
Romantics was a surprise for me. Watched purely outa boredom. Listening to experiences about DDLJ and the revolution it brought in the industry with my boyhood idol Shah Rukh Khan and the stories revolving him and Aditya was amazing. Not to mention Dhoom, RNBJ and BBB. I have now developed a profound respect for the filmmaker Aditya Chopra. The dude's a revolutionary!
Y’all have got to stop saying Kaulkataa 🤯 don’t just add an “au” sound to everything because it’s Bengali urgh. Try pronouncing it the way it looks: kol (coal) ka (kaa) ta (taa)

What a treat it was to watch The Romantics…… YRF and it’s movies were, and still are a craze for 90s teenagers. I absolutely loved watching the insights of DDLJ. Like you, I also was surprised about Aditya Chopra’s obsession with films since his formative years, and admire his mindfulness, instinct and compassion. He definitely is the true and well deserved heir of the empire.
