At its most basic, cooking means applying heat to food. Whether the food is baked, fried, sautéed, boiled, or grilled, it’s all cooking.
People still cook some foods over an open flame, in addition to using tools like microwaves toasters, and stovetops.

I always put poped pop corn in a big bowl then with my hands take out all the poped pop corn leaving the old maids. This way no one breaks a tooth on the old maid😂
I always thought caramel popcorn was made from caramels. I learned something new tonight! I’m going to have to try this.
You always look lovely. I make something similar but mine is stirred every 15 minutes and baked for a total of one hour. Happy eating…it looks good.
I just watched Tammy at Collard Valley Cooks make the same identical caramel corn recipe. Her husband's fishing buddy made the popcorn. It looked so delicious. He baked it for 15 minutes , pulled it out and stirred it up and did the same thing 3 more times. Going to try to make some for Christmas.
You should have stirred it every 15 min. for one hr.
I use the Chester’s hull less popcorn
People wonder how u can tell when your popcorn is about done popping. Well I listen closely and when the pops gets far apart that's when I know it's done.
Wish I were enjoying your caramel popcorn with you. Popcorn always taste better with company. Love y’all always. 👋🎅🏻🎄☃️⭐️🦌🥰
My grandmother used to make this same caramel sauce and make popcorn balls with it
I’ve made it on a large jelly roll pan and stirred it every 15 minutes in the oven. It won’t stick together that way and comes out like the Carmel corn you get in the store. Less work and cools faster when you set it out to cool. I stir it a couple of times while it’s cooling as well.
You sure brought back some memories for me. We can’t eat popcorn or corn anymore due to health conditions – sure do miss it. 😋
