The color grading took me out of it. It’s like Fuqua and Robert Richardson couldn’t decide if they wanted to make a black and white movie or not.
A black man fighting against all odds to return to his family. A true story about a strong, powerful, protective, black father figure is rare. Django really?!
The movie was good but I will never spend money on a Will Simp movie ever again. What he did to Chris Rock is pathetic and embarrassing and he did it over a nothing ass chick.

Slavery is NOT American history. It is and always was WORLD HISTORY. Stop making it as if slavery started in our country when it existed and was brought here long before the United States of America ever existed.
People aren’t born psychotic. A power dynamic as ugly as slavery creates half a society that is drunk on that power. Equality sobers the way we treat each other.
