We have our second Guy Ritchie movie in as many months. Here’s my review of The Covenant.
Synopsis
“Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant follows US Army Sergeant John Kinley (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Afghan interpreter Ahmed (Dar Salim). After an ambush, Ahmed goes to Herculean lengths to save Kinley’s life. When Kinley learns that Ahmed and his family were not given safe passage to America as promised, he must repay his debt by returning to the war zone to retrieve them before the Taliban hunts them down first.”

This was such a good movie.
so many Afghans were stitched up rotten by the West/US. Many risked their lives to help, then was left to rot and die in the hands of the Taliban, with families butchered as a result.
Anyone know the name of the song in the last scene when John and Ahmed are looking at each other on the plane ?
This movie was pretty meh. It feels like a cheap rip off of Lone survivor. I don't really see why people are hyping this one up.
Absolute classic,so gripping,2 stories in one,loved it,ritchie classic 10/10
"there is a Hook in me . . ." that monologue was stunning
