  1. I saw this movie and enjoyed it a lot, even though the sequence with Grace and June in the shed was whack. I've read a lot of reviews and it's fascinating to me that no one has discussed the casting – this is a mainstream movie finding its audience, and except for Kevin and Heather, all of the characters are Indian American, Latino, Korean American, and Chinese American, with two Black American women in the lead roles. I love it!
BTW YouTube is full of sad stories about women who sent every penny they had, thousands of dollars, to overseas "boyfriends", based on text messages and stolen photos. They never even met these guys, who are mostly Nigerian scam artists. But these supposedly intelligent women were sure they were going to marry them and ride off into the sunset. So they sold their homes and emptied their retirement funds. Seems unbelievable, but women-and men-get fooled by scamsters every day.

  2. You all are really reaching.. "Searching"
😁 This movie was excellent. Suspension of disbelief is needed in every movie. It's so creative and seemless like Searching movie. Telling the entire story "online".
I need you to please stop commenting on black women's hair. You dogged Janelle Monet in glass onion, and I looked and tried to see …there are no flaws. Just stop 😑 it's a movie, lol..what do you want? Nia Long to come out with no makeup on? Then you would talk about that. I also laughed at them being 42, born in 1980 😁..she's is Def. Ten years older than me when Love Jones came out. Ken Jeung is not bad looking, esp in his 'Lost' days. They made a cute couple. He seemed sweet and interesting and opposite her abusive ex. I agree with you that I also wished that at least one person in the movie would have said out loud that she would never just leave her daughter. The detective was useless.

  3. I have been to Colombia, and people are lovely there. But it feels very odd to think that a Colombian man who was hired to help complete tasks for a stranger would then give free labor. That feels like a replication of the trope of the oh-so-helpful savior-type person from a foreign country, helping a protagonist avoid pitfalls. People in Colombia also work and have to make a living, like anyone else! 🙂
