As the game progressed Australia set more aggressive catching fields, something WI did not do often enough. Several WI batsmen could have scored 20 more a piece on this pitch and gotten closer; Brathwaite & Chanderpaul needed more support. Field settings were the difference as Holder bowled well, Mayers was impressive and Joseph wanted to compete. Bonner was unfortunate as was Cummins. Australia despite slight deficiencies were more rounded, had Holder and Joseph been as clinical with the ball WI might have been as effective as Australia. Good Test match cricket & it needs to keep improving; I am looking forward to Boland in Adelaide.
Is it just me or has Warner's shots and reflexes slowed down? He seemed late on almost all of his cuts…😬
Hazlewood way too underrated
Chandrapaul Jr has the same positive flamboyance and flair as Sr but need a little help with stance, movement and position in front of the stumps. Has a bright future.
There was some nice peiece of bowling by 🇦🇺
