  1. As an aspiring filmmaker myself, this is the first film that I feel just……got me. It felt like Spielberg looked at me from behind the camera and said "I understand".

Many years ago, when Tamasha came out, people told me you should watch this movie as I believe it will be cathartic to you. But it was nothing but disappointing, I guess I was looking for the fabelmans through that movie. And now that I have finally got it, I feel heard.

  2. It indeed is one of my favorites from Spielberg….I was expecting to cry my eyes out while watching Fabelmans…. But it was opposite… I had big smile on my face almost the entire film (except for some heartbreaking bits) and laughed gleefully especially during the Ending scene abt the Horizon…
Being a staunch Spielberg fan since childhood… I had known many of these stories or references to them numerous times in from his interviews (world's greatest fair, the crashing of trains, John Ford….) Learned his family history from the Documentary on his life… But the way he translates this to the screen is so beautiful…. That's it… Apparently Spielberg is also the world's best autobiographer!!!
