In Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, Superman also flies into the path of a nuclear missile to prevent it from destroying the country.
I like that George noticed the parallels the end of The Dark Knight Rises has with this. Now I'm picturing Batman saying "Sssuuupermaaannn…" as he flies off with the bomb.

Nestorcaster beat me to it, but I believe the direct quote about it being extra large came from an episode of DS9. But, another favorite scene of mine is when Worf is first introduced to prune juice and christens it, 'a warrior's drink'. 😁

This movie was directed by Brad bird who also did the incredibles. He hasn't directed a lot of movies but when he does they are awesome
