I actually really loved this movie as a kid. I thought it was so cool to see so many book characters come together. It was The Avengers before the Avengers. I think the main issue with this movie is that it should’ve focused more on the dynamics between the characters and the script over making a mindless blockbuster. I do think if they made this movie today, it would be much better
i was okay with this movie despite the bullshit technology in the wrong era until the reveal with who gathered them all like why tho? these are complete strangers then he puts them in a team just to what? stop him? even if they responded when he executes his plan, they'll be too late. it's so dumb.
So Allan Quartermain is basically the SNL Jeopardy version of Sean Connery

This might be a top 3 Bad Movie roast for me right up there with Grizzly Two and Jason X.
I feel like this movie could be updated and rebooted with a good director.
This is a horrible movie with some incredibly cool things. When a movie has a promise but is bad anyway, I end up hating it way more.
The comic books weren't my cup of tea, but I can acknowledge that they were well written. There wasn't anything I liked about this movie. It gives me the same kind of headache the Schumaker Batman films do. I know a lot of people think well of the film though. Oh well, to each their own🤷🏾♀🤷🏾♀
