The Linux Vs Windows Gaming Problem No One's Talking About
If content is king, then a strong ecosystem is the kingdom. Is Linux gaming healthy? You bet. But it’s missing something crucial that no one seems to be talking about, and we need AMD and Nvidia to step up and fix it.

if Linux had the same ports I would use Linux. But Linux HAS NO PORTS WHATSOEVER. NO PORTS. NONE. NADA.
99% of the software I want to use is not on Linux.
Linux performance is better for the few games have ports and I like Linux having less bloatware, using less RAM and storage space. But no Linux portssssss.
one main problem i encountered has been that using OpenCl with the RX6700XT from AMD is not provided by default on Ubuntu. On the other Hand with Nvidia you got CUDA and stuff like that when using their propriatary drivers.
I totally agree with you!
Thanks for spreading it!
Lutris for hybrid graphics, obs for recording otherwise eh.
Just donating to CoreCTRL proyect xD
This video hits the nail on the head. I recently switched over to Linux (pop!_os) and I spent several days to get freesync, fps limiters, performance monitoring (mangohud) and gpu customization running (corectrl – which does not identify my gpu and is therefore limited) and still I am only able to use like 60% of the features that I get by only installing the adrenalin software suite on windows.
I was really disappointed because I expected with AMD CPU and GPU my life in linux would be much easier. But in the end the market share is where the money flows and linux still seems to be irrelevant for the desktop gamer, although it has a lot of smoothness, that I did not get with windows 10. This is very apparent when I check the task manager in windows vs pop!_os, move windows around or use my firefox. I did not expect such a snappy experience to be honest. But on the other hand I also did not expect so many trouble getting the basics running, which is done in windows in less than 1 hour.
I already created a short text file to collect all the things I need to tweak to get my setup running, if I ever need to start from the scratch again 😀
It's practically 2022 and there is no easy way(maybe no way at all) to undervolt your Nvidia GPU Linux…
We need an Claim Campaign for AMD Adrenalin
That is only reason ! Great video, if only linux had this, i would never use windows.
