I might get this. I have a series x. Wonder if it's worth using at 1440p OLED , since I currently have a gp950 and do game at 4k with hdr on
I've now seen just 2 videos from this guy. His jokes and straight face are well time and not over done. Keep up the great work
Matte coatings are the bane of gaming monitors. These morons in marketing still don't get why gamers will pick a 42 inch C2 over their overpriced and matte monitors lol
WTF why no 4k resolution and 21:9 form factor 😭
I don’t get it. What’s so special about an OLED that’s 1440p? Almost all oled TV are 4K already. Make it make sense please
Been waiting for LG OLED monitors to come in at 27" and 32".
I have a XB323UGP atm, would consider the 27" if the 32" isn't coming any time soon. But would prefer 32" lmao
The Brightness is showing now on the site as only 200 nits in SDR "Brightness 200 cd/m² (@SDR 25% APL)" Have not clue what "SDR 25% APL" means
Also power draw is insane for such a small monitor that has no backlight.
Power Consumption (Typ.) 74W
Power Consumption (Max.) 94W
It's a SDR monitor as bright as 150nits with flickering.
@HDTVTest I am always wondering why manufacturers seem to treat 32“ 4k with such low priority. Is there any explanation? Is it related to the production process, which probably is focussed on TVs. Is it much easier to manufacture 27“ 1440p or 4k panels as a side product of producing TV panels? Or do they think 32“ is a small market. I really don‘t understand this as with the power the 30 and 40 series cards have (and the performance of the 40 series is no suprise and one could have seen this coming a year ago) 4k should be the default resolution nowadays and 32“ is just the right size as 27“ is just too small for 4k.
Would be great if you made some videos why they all rather focus on either larger sizes like 42“ or smaller like 27“ (and all these 34“ QD-OLEDs are basically 27“ ultra wide screen monitors too). I wouldn‘t mind a 5120×2160 40“ ultra wide screen either, but we don‘t even get 32“ 4k OLED (besides the few super-expensive non gaming ones with 60 Hz).
Price point is just stupid. I'm looking for a 42inch ideally (C2) but waiting for a further droop to around £600. Now, if I'm paying £1k, there's no way in he'll the size is gonna be less than 42inch.
