Privacy, that's "IPhone" not mac, not icloud.
old old news
Google encrypts all data on other people's VMs.
Considering the size of the channel, the last remark was unnecessary, arguably Apple is doing way more compared to its competitors in terms of privacy and the cloud may be actively run on Google and Amazon servers but the data is encrypted with Apple’s own servers having the keys to decrypt the data and with iOS 16.3 Advanced Data protection ensures only the user has the decryption Key for their data being sent to the cloud
Everything Apple prides themselves on is thanks to other companies😂
Oh no they're 8 million of me?
Apple had done this since before the 2020s, and all of this is for enterprise API development and not user end. Meaning that Google and Azure are meant for businesses to make their own APIs on.
So this has nothing to do with Apple, and that goes for other companies as well that use Google/Azure servers. It’s ridiculously hard and expensive to build the cloud as it needs a lot of computing power for the data centers, a lot of which has to come from somewhere.
These guys are talking nonsense. It’s different to have an enterprise API doing work for you than swapping Google hard drives in a server.
Even a lot of Amazon services/sub-companies (Like twitch) run on GCP and not AWS, because other services are better tuned for their uses
Apple stores user iCloud data on both Amazon Web Services and Google's cloud. That data is encrypted by Apple, meaning that neither Amazon nor Google can obtain the the customer's iCloud information
The last part of the video about the privacy is so wrong and so misleading
